Interesting news.
Google
announced to make it's kernel and OS entirely Open Source.
Quote:
Fuchsia is a long-term project to create a general-purpose, open source operating system, and today we are expanding Fuchsia’s open source model to welcome contributions from the public.
Some say it's because they were unable to finish it properly, now they are begging for free contributions. I don't know if that's true, however they were developing it for many years with a big team, that's for sure, and they couldn't produce a Linux-killer yet.
Anyway, having yet another Open Source kernel is good news for our community!
Cheers,
