You put too much faith in science. Science lies, cheats, and deceives. I think, in time, science will support Christianity. At the moment, however, science is obviously mistaken in several key areas.
It is entirely possible that an overly ambitious scientist could cheat and lie, but I don't see how that can be laid at the door of science itself. I don't think it is the job of science to support or oppose Christianity; its job is to investigate the physical universe. Although there are still those atheists who cling to the idea that science has "disproved" religion, or who live in the hope that it will do so.
Well, for example, creation. Okay. The Bible says the universe was created in 7 days and that God created man. (Albeit, the first 4 weren't really days, and could have been billions of years, but nevertheless.) Science says that man came from some slop in the ground. I think, because I believe the Bible more than science, that the Bible is true. Therefore I believe that science, being the study of truth, will eventually stumble upon this, because by definition, it will find the truth. When they do, if they ever do, it will then support Christianity.
It's almost sad. Like, Darwin. The guy spent his life trying to enhance his theory. Yet, he's so, so wrong. I almost feel sorry for him, he could've spent his life playing ping-pong and would have been more productive.
