Hi!

I borough back my old os project a few days ago and now I'm finely able to compile it! :)

But I cant boot it with my Grub 0.97 (default in Fedora 8) However when I tried a really old version, 0.5 it is working. So I have done some research and came to the conclusion that I was using 0.92 when I was developing the kernel. I have also notist that my version of SkyOS is not working with 0.97 ether. (It was shipped with version 0.92)

So is there any big change in Grub 0.92 to 0.97? If so.. what is it?

Thankful for any tips.

I think SkyOS uses a custom version of GRUB that loads their kernel from a BFS file system.

Why your kernel isn't working with GRUB.. I'm not sure, you're not exactly giving us much information.

Hmm... oki.. I tried to boot SkyOS from a FAT disk.. well it might not be related.

I'll try to upgrade Grub to a even newer version and see if it works.

Does GRUB give you an error message? If so, what is it?

No.. it just freezes. I'm going to experiment a little more with other versions.
